Openclaims announces new investment round,led by Knight Capital

Openclaims, the Dutch market leader in motor claims software, announces a newstrategic investment of 1.75 million euros led by Knight Capital. The investment willbe used to further expand Openclaims’ Repair Distribution Solution, which helpsdecrease the ecological footprint and financial cost of repairs. Existing shareholders,including Velocity Capital, Tablomonto, and notable angel investors, such as JeroenMorrenhof, CEO of FRISS, also participate in the round, reaffirming their confidence inOpenclaims and its potential.

The startup was founded in 2019 by Rohit Mulani, Norman Wanto and David Grant. Its app lets users buy fractional shares in NYSE and Nasdaq-traded stocks starting from $1 USD. Gotrade does not charge a commission on its trades. Instead, it monetizes by charging a 0.5% to 1.2% foreign exchange fees if users deposit funds in local currency that is converted into U.S. dollars for trading.
